Memo-04-30-2010 OK, maybe not so hard

I went to Twitter to see if @MemosFromTheUni could subscribe to Abraham-Hicks, but could not find an Abraham-Hicks Twitter account. So I went to Abraham-Hicks website and found this rather in-your-face Daily Quotation about money and doing what you love to get some. OK, so even without my usual “prompt”, that’s not so hard to “get” ;)

Memo-04-30-2010 What is yer name? What is yer quest?

Was responding to someone’s blog post and felt the need to make the blogger laugh or at least smile, about a quest that she is on. So I dug up the old “Bridge of Death” gatekeeper quiz (Monty Python and the Holy Grail).

Never realized King Arthur wore the sunshine motif upon his chest. He’s not “the sun king” – that would have been Louis the something-teenth of France. I always thought Arthur’s coat of arms bore a dragon… oh my that’s it. The whole reason I went after the Holy Grail scene was because the blogger made referece to slaying dragons as a metaphor for beating an addiction.

But if it’s not a dragon and it is, in fact, the sun…. then it’s the sun that represents addiction? And in the previous memo, we have Georgia telling me that we don’t need sunshine to feel sunny…. wait let me google the George Harrison thing.

Well duh – SOMETHING’S COMING!

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it’s all right

Little darling, it’s been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it’s been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it’s all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it’s all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes…
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes…
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes…
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes…
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes…

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it’s all right
It’s all right

Perhaps, as I’ve theorized before, the Universe uses the “sunshine” keyword and motif to get my attention… because the Universe knows that I pay attention to that word just because of auld lang syne. But now the Universe is saying that it doesn’t have to have the keyword or the motif in order to be a Memo. Wants me to drop my addiction to the keyword and get used to recognizing Memos without it.

Crap. That’s a bit hard. It’s easier when it’s tagged!

Memo-04-30-2010 Ya gotta have friends

I could have sworn that I’d posted these earlier today but the post does not appear on ANY of my blogs – very weird!

So I went a few days without any memos at all – then this morning I got two in rapid succession. Both from friends, both on Facebook, both reference our keyword within the context of pop songs

First, from young friend Annie, who was not even a twinkle in her father’s eye when George Harrison was hot, never mind the Beatles!

Now, from Georgia – online friend from Texas

Message unknown but maybe it will come to me after a bit.

Memo-04-24-2010 Beauty and the Beast in EPCOT

i have taken pics of this window before but never relly noticed tha it was a Memo. not sure what the message is. I do know there’s a song from the Broadway version that I sing really well. "Nothing lasts; nothing holds all of me. My heart.s far, far away, home and free." Belle detests being where she is but sings, "as my life has been altered once. It can change again." No prison is permanent. Change is the liberator.

Memo-04-22-2010 Now you see it…

Case of the disappearing sunshine – I clicked the link and blogger told me the post did not exist. Hmmm. Are Memo’s all an illusion, then? Do I get to choose via acception (is that a word?) or rejection, what in my world is real? Really, "rejection" here is deletion. Mare obviously decided to yank the post for whatever reason. her blog, her prerogative.

My life, my delete button. Heady concept…

Memo-04-21-2010 Coolest Cafe In Town

Daughter of a friend went on vacation, was waiting in line behind this guy. Took a pic of her boyfriend (I cropped him out) and the shirt was there.

I googled this – it’s a place in the Keys where you can get a catamaran out to the Dry Tortugas. It sounds like fun!

I did google to see if shelling is permitted on Dry Tortugas. Apparently, if it’s on the beach and unoccupied, you can have it. But if it is in the water, you must not disturb it.

Not sure this is really a memo. Except it does sound like a cool weekend trip. There’s a "taxi" out of Fort Myers down to the Keys – I hear it only takes a couple of hours to get there by boat.

Hmmmm…
